The Company
Weserport has provided a framework for plenty of businesses at the city ports of Bremen since 1995. The company, where 51% of the shares are held by Rhenus and 49% by the ArcelorMittal Bremen, has developed into a major player in Bremen within just a few years.
By consistently upgrading the range of services so that the company is no longer a pure transshipment firm, but a logistics sea port service provider, it has been possible to steer new flows of goods through Bremen and thereby create various new opportunities for freight destinations.
Weserport was the first company to obtain ISO certification as a "sea port service provider" as early as 1996. More than 14 years later, quality is still the major priority. Current certification in line with
EN ISO 9001 : 2008
and GMP B1
forms just one element of our understanding of quality. The TQM (Total Quality Management) system, which has been implemented right through the Rhenus Group, ensures continuous further developments and improvements to services that are being provided.
